Three doctors appointments, two blood tests, one viral infection, and another infection later... I'm completely exhausted. I don't like doctors, and I don't like needles. I especially don't like blood tests, even though I've only had one done prior to the two I had this past week. I'm terrified of needles, which is odd when you think that I have three tattoos, all of which didn't hurt a bit. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that all my free time has been spent going back and forth to doctors offices and blood clinics. I live in a small town, you know the type, no Wal-Mart, no hospital, no Burger King... But, there's a river which seperates us from a booming city, so a quick two minute drive on a bridge and we're in a city with two Wal-Marts, two hospitals, but only one Burger King (I know, strange, right?). I'm finally coming to my point here, and that is that I have a lot of travel time to get back and forth to these places that I need to go. This doesn't leave much time for Simming.
I did Sim for a few hours this past Monday and Tuesday (my days off from work), but I was doing a lot of work on the mansion. My Sims are now poor, by the way. So, I'm going to do some more around my shifts, and have a chapter out Monday or Tuesday (since I don't have another doctors appointment until Wednesday of next week).
Talking about work, I work way too much. 40+ hours a week, of which I only get paid for 39.5 hours. I have Mondays and Tuesdays off, Wednesday I work from 11am to 9:30pm, Thursday I work from 12pm to 10:30pm, Friday I work from 4:30pm to 11:30pm, Saturday I work 5pm to 9pm (short shift, woo!), and Sunday I work from 9:30am to 9:30pm. This is my set schedule every week, and it's a bit exhausting, but I need the money and they need a supervisor so it all works out. Talking about money and work, for the past three paychecks, they've paid me overtime that I didn't qualify for. So, I now owe the company 18.5 hours worth of pay back. I swear, they want to keep me owing the company so I never get to take my maternity leave. Sneaky little things they are...
