Playing Style?

BlueChan, I was just curious how much you let your sims do their own thing? Do you 'micro-manage'?

I tend to 'micro-manage' because I am trying to complete as many lifetime wishes as possible in 10 generations. But it is tedious. And I have harder times trying to find a story when I do that. Plus that means the kids stay in the house for a very long time and I won't have much room for future generations. I am thinking about dropping the idea of doing a story legacy and a lifetime wish challenge in one...

Any suggestions?

I'd also like to hear about other people's playing styles if you would like to share...

Re: Playing Style?

It depends on how many people I have in the house. If I have few teens/adults, then I tend to micro-manage a lot and try to get their wishes completed. If I have a lot of teens/adults in the house (like I do now), I only tend to control the ones that the story needs to focus on. I'm doing a lot with the teens right now, because the heiress vote is coming up, and I'm leaving the adults to do whatever they want to.

I always strive to complete the lifetime wishes though. I think Lilianna was the only one that I never got to complete, and that's because I had control of her for such a short time.

Re: Playing Style?

You complete the lifetime wishes of the spares before they move out? I wanna just kick them out, but maybe I'm just not good with completing them quickly.

Oh, no not the spares. I only do the heiress and the spouse.

Re: Playing Style?

I tend to micromanage, but not when there are eight sims to control. I find that I can actually handle seven sims pretty well, and I don't mind caring for them, but eight? Too much. I can never fully control them all.

I'd say keep striving for perfection and completing everybody's lifetime wish. It can be done, and it is possible, it'll just take a good ammount of time, lots of concentration and oodles of patience. Keep at it!
